Clear float glass is transparent and offers a high visible light transmittance. Clear float is also available in laminated and toughened form. Clear float is sold as cut-to-size or bulk form.

Process :

Clear Float glass is made by high-quality sand, natural ores and chemical materials by mixing them and melting them at high temperature; the molten glass flow into tin bath where the float glass is spread, polished and formed on the molten tin. The float glass has smooth surface, excellent optical performance, stable chemical capability, and high mechanism intensity. It is also resistant to acid, alkali and corrosion.

Process :

Adding colorant during a float glass production run produces Tinted float. The most common colors are grey, bronze, green and blue. Apart from its function in an aesthetic sense, tinted float is primarily designed to reduce solar heat gain and glare and increase the comfort levels and reduce cooling costs in buildings.
 
Most float glass can be toughened, a process that creates safety glass out of annealed glass.

Process :

Reflective glass is a product resulted from multi-metal coatings on the float glass as raw material. Through the application of vacuum coating, the finished product characterizes various visual effects and different optical and calorific features.

A coating is applied during glass manufacture. It is ready to be cut, heat strengthened and toughened. This product is sometimes called a ‘hard coat' reflective.

Passing the molten glass through rollers makes this glass this process gives an almost flat finish but the effects of the rollers upon the molten glass makes some distortion inevitable. The glass can be used in domestic windows etc. but the relative low cost of float glass (With its lack of distortion) has tended to restrict ordinary sheet glass to glazing greenhouses and garden sheds where the visual distortions do not matter.
